THESYRE To Begin Recording New Album

September 3, 2008

Eric M. Syre, vocalist/bassist for Quebec-based black metallers THESYRE, has issued the following update:

"With the years piling up and age setting in, it's getting harder and harder for us to gather and record, let alone rehearse as a band...

"We're finally starting the recordings [for the new THESYRE album] this weekend. Drums will be done first, as usual. This will be our third recording in our home studio (both our split with AUDIOPAIN and MACABRE OMEN were recorded here as well) and we look forward to make it sound a bit rougher and capture more of a live feeling this time. I would also like to add a few industrial (EINSTURZENDE NEUBAUTEN could be a reference) elements to the sound picture. Some experiments on the vocals are also in the plan.

"As reported earlier, the album will be titled 'RĂ©sistance' and all lyrics will be in French this time. We still have to decide on the full track list but we're aiming for eight songs and an intro for now."

THESYRE's third album, "Exist!", was released in 2006 via Osmose Productions.
